These have been challenging times for small businesses and the risk of losing great people and demotivating teams has been substantial. At Gem Cable Solutions we are pleased to be able to add to our organisation as we start to tackle a post-COVID landscape, looking head to 2021. In fact, we have been able to add not one but two members of staff to our growing team to help us optimise the opportunities and engage with the challenges that the business has in front of it going forwards.
John Deaton, Quality and Compliance
Ensuring standards of quality and compliance are being met (and exceeded) is crucial to the nature of what we do. Gem Cable Solutions currently holds the following approvals: ISO9001, AS9100 [pending], ISO14001, RISQS, JOSCAR and IPC 620. Plus, we have a rigorous infrastructure of quality and compliance in place to ensure that we are continuously improving and providing our customers with the best possible service.
John comes to us from a background in aerospace where he has worked for the past 40 years. He initially graduated from a Mechanical and Electronics Apprenticeship and has since then moved through a number of different quality and compliance positions. John will be focused on ensuring our business compliance on an ongoing basis, both on a national and international level. This covers a very broad range of different areas, including health and safety and environmental concerns.
Daniel Edwards, Head of Sales
Sales is a crucial component in our business and one that needs to be carefully handled in the current environment. That’s why we’re bringing on board an experienced and dedicated professional to head up this essential part of what we do. Gem Cable Solutions occupies a leading position in the market as a UK based manufacturer of individually designed cable assemblies, custom control boxes, harnesses, looms, panels, fibre optics and network solutions. It’s essential that our products are able to reach those who are going to benefit most from them and that this process is handled in a way that is consistent with our customer service standards.
Daniel has 20+ years in the cable and electrical industry and a particularly strong reputation for exceptional customer service and effectively managing client relationships. His CV includes dealing with large multi-national companies and managing complex project sales and we are very excited to have him on board. Daniel will be focusing on expanding our business across all industries and ensuring that our bespoke solutions are available to the businesses that need them, whether that’s box builds or custom cable assembly.
