Work Experience with GEM Cables

During the period of this week, for the first time, GEM Cable Solutions have hosted a year 10 student on work experience.

Liam, the student on work experience, got to participate in a variety of activities including working on the shop floor, to gain an understand what Gem produce for their customers, to filing and organising of documents, to shadowing Steven Jack (The Managing Director) for meetings, forums and open days as he visited businesses such as Virgin Media, GE, Kelvin Hughes and The Hertfordshire Growth Hub Opening . Liam proceeded to learn a vast amount of information about each aspect of the business environment at GEM Cables.

Liam said “I thoroughly enjoyed my work experience at GEM Cable Solutions as I learnt a plethora of information about the cabling business and gained experience from a wide range of working environments. I would recommend to any year 10 pupil that they do their work experience or placement at Gem Cable.”
