At GEM Cables, we strongly believe in supporting local sports and celebrating achievements in our community. We are incredibly proud to continue our support of the Verulamians RFC (The Vees) Under 16 team, which on 21st April 2024 won the Herts County Youth Plate 2024, making them the most successful Vees Junior side of all time!
The team played a cracking game, giving it their all and securing a well-deserved 45-12 win. From the first whistle to the final play, their dedication, teamwork, and passion were evident. They left everything on the field, and this win reflects their relentless drive.
Their achievement is a testament to the values of perseverance and sportsmanship that The Vees nurture in their players. Every member of the U16 squad showcased exceptional talent, determination, and unity, making the win truly remarkable.
As these young athletes prepare for their forthcoming GCSEs, we wish them every success and look forward to seeing them continue their journey next season when they join the Vees Colts (Under 18s). With the same spirit and passion, we have no doubt they will continue to make their mark and achieve even greater success. We also extend our gratitude to the coaches, staff, and parents who have supported and guided the team to this historic victory.
